Announcements
Instructors utilize announcements for immediate communication with everyone in the course. These announcements are frequently used to convey reminders about activities and assignments, provide clarifications, update the syllabus or course content, share course status changes, offer feedback to the entire class, and provide words of encouragement.
Announcements
Select Announcements to view all announcements in the course. You can set your notifications to receive announcements, you can see them on your Recent Activity Dashboard, and they will also appear in your To Do lists. Depending on your instructor's settings, you may also find announcements on the home page.
- To review, select Announcements in the course navigation to see a list of all of the announcements in the course, and then select the announcement title link to view the full text of each announcement.
- On the Announcements page, you will find filters and search features. Note that the most recent announcements appear at the top of the page.
- Depending on the instructors' settings, you may be able to leave a reply. Do so by clicking the reply button and composing your message in the rich content editor.
- As a student, you may not always be able to reply to an announcement as the instructor has to enable this option. If you need clarification or need to respond and can't reply to the announcement, reach out to your instructor via their preferred communication method.
