Working in Canvas Groups and Collaborations
Group work in Canvas opens the door for you to collaborate with your peers, enhancing your overall learning journey. Within Canvas, you'll find a range of tools tailored for groups. These include a dedicated group site with a homepage, announcements, pages, discussions, file-sharing, a collaborations portal, and a Zoom portal. On top of that, there's a group calendar and a feed highlighting recent group activity. Alongside the course-assigned group work, if your instructor permits it, you can create your own study groups in the same Groups area.

In UNC's instance of Canvas, you will find Collaborations in your group environments and if your instructor allows it, in your course menu for class-wide collaboration. UNC's collaboration tools include Google Docs and Office 365.
