Every user in Canvas has an Account that encompasses different settings, including a profile. Personalizing your profile is essential for establishing your presence within courses and introducing yourself to fellow students and instructors. When you, your peers, and your instructors all actively participate in profile setup, it fosters a more welcoming course atmosphere that encourages engagement. Your profile serves as a chance to offer a glimpse of your background, explain your educational aspirations, and articulate your goals. A crucial aspect of higher education involves networking with your peers, and your profile serves as a valuable tool to expand and cultivate your academic network.

User Files
This video will show you how to utilize the central files location in your account to organize your files into a personal folder that you can access across all your classes and groups. Additionally, you'll discover how to both preview and download files from your courses folders.
Name and Pronoun Changes
Your name and pronoun preferences cannot be changed or added through Canvas. To update your name or pronouns, go to Ursa Links to an external site. and log in using your student credentials. Go to the My Account tab, then the Personal Information section, and select the Update Name in Use or Personal Pronoun link. You can update your name and pronouns from there.
